THE STRUCTURED CABLING SOLUTION
Category 5/6 Structured Cabling
is a standard that incorporates facilities for
connecting a variety of telephone and computer
peripherals in one easy to manage network cabling
configuration. It will be the only cabling you
need to install. The standard solution until recently
has involved separate telephone and data cabling
systems, neither of which completely fulfils its
objectives. One of the principle disadvantages
of most standard networking solutions is that
the theoretical maximum data throughput is rarely
reached and the more users the network has, the
slower it runs. Moves and changes can cause great
problems. Moreover, if one terminal fails, it
can bring down the whole system. With the advances
being made in networking software and server hardware,
traditional systems are frequently proving inadequate.
